Instructions for use
Indications for Use:
Allows visualization of the ocular fundus, vitreous and retinal structures during vitreoretinal surgery.
Intended Use:
Intended for use with the Insight Instruments SUPER VIEW® Wide Angle Viewing System or the BIOM®.
Parts include:
(1x) Wide Field Lens
(1x) Correction Lens (for use with an f=175mm or f=200mm objective lens)
(1x) Hassan-Tornambe Contact Lens
(2x) Drive Belts (for use with BIOM®)
(1x) Thumb Screw Cover (for dovetail)
Warning:
Never use a product that appears to be damaged!
Directions: Wide Angle Lenses
Non-sterile personnel
1. Check the packaging for damage. The product must not be used if any damage is found on the packaging.
2. After a visual check, open the outer pouch without touching the inner pouch.
3. Let the inner pouch slide onto a sterile surface. Make sure the inner pouch is not contaminated during this process.
Sterile operating nurse/surgtech
4. Open the inner pouch and let the contents slide onto a sterile surface.
5. Remove the two lenses from the fleece packaging without touching the lens surfaces.
6. Hold the correction lens (Figure 1-A) by its flange and place it in the lens holder (Figure 1-B) so that the mounting ring tabs
on the lens fit into the notches in the lens holder.
7. Turn the correction lens clockwise, passing through the resistance of the spring clip. The correction lens is now secure and
will not fall out.
8. Using your thumb and index finger, hold the wide field lens (Figure 1-D) on either side of the black arm without touching
the lens surface (Figure1). Failure to hold the clip in this manner may result in the premature breaking of the clip. The
lens is correctly oriented if its position matches the diagram (Figure 2). Fasten the lens by inserting the black plastic tab into
the slot (Figure 1-C) passing the resistance until the small outer tabs click and lock into position.
9. To remove the lenses after use, grasp the wide field lens clip as shown (Figure 3) and simply break the lens clip in a firm
downward motion. Remove the remaining portion of the clip and discard. Turn the correction lens counter-clockwise and
carefully lift out of the lens ring holder.
Directions: Hassan-Tornambe Contact Lens
1. Swing wide angle module up and out of the microscope beam path.
2. Flush the cornea thoroughly with ophthalmic solution.
3. While taking care not to touch the lens surface, hold the lens only by its edge and place a "tear drop" amount of ophthalmic
lubricant on the curved underside of the contact lens.
4. Place on the cornea, curved side down and hold in place with a cotton swab for several seconds to displace any air bubbles
and stabilize the lens on the eye.
Directions: Thumb Screw Cover
1. Grasp thumb screw cover by flat end and push over the dovetail thumb screw.
2. When tightening or loosening thumb screw, grasp cover by the round portion.
3. Remove cover after use by grasping flat end and pulling off of thumb screw.
Directions: Drive Belts
1. Please refer to BIOM® manufacturers instructions for use.
Sterilization:
These items are delivered in a sterile condition and are for SINGLE USE ONLY. After surgery they should be properly
disposed of according to contaminated medical waste guidelines of your facility.
Contents sterile if package is not expired, opened, damaged or wet.

Verwendungszweck:
Zur Verwendung mit dem Insight Instruments SUPER VIEW® Weitwinkelbeobachtungssystem oder dem BIOM® System.

Anweisungen: Weitwinkellinsen
Nicht steril gekleidetes Personal
1. Überprüfen Sie die Verpackung auf Beschädigungen. Bei beschädigter Verpackung dürfen Sie das Produkt nicht
verwenden.
2. Nach der Sichtprüfung ö nen Sie den Außenbeutel, ohne dabei den Innenbeutel zu berühren.
3. Lassen Sie den Innenbeutel auf die sterile Ablage gleiten. Achten Sie darauf, dass es dabei zu keiner Kontamination des
Innenbeutels kommt.

4. Ö nen Sie den Innenbeutel und lassen Sie den Inhalt auf die sterile Ablage gleiten.
5. Nehmen Sie die zwei Lupen aus der Vlies-Verpackung, ohne die Lupen-Ober ächen zu berühren.
6. Fassen Sie die Korrekturlinse (Abbildung 1-A) an ihrem Flansch und setzen Sie sie in die Aufnahme (Abbildung 1-B), so dass
v die Nasen der Fassung sich in den Aussparungen der Aufnahme be nden.
7. Drehen Sie die Korrekturlinse im Uhrzeigersinn, bis der Widerstand der Feder-Rast überwunden ist. Die Korrekturlinse sitzt
nun fest in der Aufnahme und kann nicht herausfallen.
8. Fassen Sie die Weitwinkellinse (Abbildung 1-D) mit Daumen und Zeige nger seitlich an der schwarzen Halterung, ohne die
Linsenober äche zu berühren (Abbildung 1). Bei nicht anweisungsgemäßer Handhabung der Linse kann die Halterung
frühzeitig brechen. Die Ausrichtung der Linse ist korrekt, wenn sie mit der nebenstehenden Zeichnung übereinstimmt
(Abbildung 2). Zur Befestigung der Linse drücken Sie die schwarze Kunststo -Lasche gegen den Widerstand in den Schlitz
(Abbildung 1-C), bis die kleineren Außenlaschen einrasten.
9. Um die Linse nach dem Gebrauch zu entfernen, fassen Sie die Halterung der Weitwinkellinse (Abbildung 3) und knicken Sie
die Halterung mit einer zügigen Bewegung nach unten ab. Entfernen Sie den verbleibenden Teil der Halterung und
entsorgen Sie diesen. Drehen Sie die Korrekturlinse im Uhrzeigersinn und nehmen Sie sie vorsichtig aus der Linsenringhal-
terung heraus.
Anweisungen: Hassan-Tornambe-Kontaktlinse
1. Klappen Sie das Weitwinkel-Modul nach oben aus dem Strahlengang des Mikroskops heraus.
2. Spülen Sie die Hornhaut gründlich mit ophthalmischer Lösung.
3. Unter sorgfältiger Vermeidung einer Berührung der Linsenober äche halten Sie die Linse vorsichtig nur an den Rändern
und geben Sie einen etwa tränengroßen Tropfen Augenbenetzungsmittel auf die konkave Unterseite der Kontaktlinse.
4. Setzen Sie die Kontaktlinse mit der konkaven Seite nach unten auf die Hornhaut und halten Sie sie mit einem Wattetupfer
mehrere Sekunden lang in dieser Position, um jegliche Luftblasen zu verdrängen und die Linse auf dem Auge zu
stabilisieren.
Anweisungen: Rändelschraubenkappe
1. Fassen Sie die Kappe am achen Ende und schieben Sie sie auf die Schwalbenschwanz-Rändelschraube.
2. Zum Festziehen oder Lockern der Rändelschraube fassen Sie die Kappe an der Rundung.
3. Entfernen Sie die Kappe nach dem Gebrauch, indem Sie sie am achen Ende fassen und von der Rändelschraube abziehen.
Anweisungen: Antriebsriemen
1. Anweisungen zur Verwendung sind der Herstelleranleitung zum BIOM® zu entnehmen.
Sterilisation:
Diese Produkte werden steril geliefert und sind NUR ZUM EINMALIGEN GEBRAUCH bestimmt. Nach der Operation müssen
sie im Einklang mit den Krankenhausbestimmungen für die Entsorgung kontaminierter medizinischer Abfälle entsorgt werden.
Die Sterilität des Inhalts ist nur bei nicht abgelaufener, ungeö neter, unbeschädigter und trockener Verpackung
gewährleistet.

Permite observar las estructuras de la retina, el cuerpo vítreo y el fondo del ojo durante una cirugía vitreorretiniana.

Pensado para usarse con el BIOM® o el sistema de observación gran angular SUPER VIEW® de Insight Instruments.
Contenido:
(1x) Lente de campo amplio
(1x) Lente de corrección (para uso con un objetivo con una distancia focal de 175 mm o 200 mm)
(1x) Lente de contacto Hassan-Tornambe
(2x) Correas de transmisión (para uso con BIOM®)
(1x) Funda para tornillo de apriete (para cola de milano)
Advertencia:
No utilice nunca un producto aparentemente dañado.
Instrucciones: lentes gran angular
Personal auxiliar en condiciones no asépticas
1. Compruebe que el envase está en buen estado. No utilice el producto si el envase presenta cualquier tipo de daño.
2. Tras una inspección visual, abra la bolsa externa sin tocar la bolsa interior.
3. Deposite la bolsa interior sobre una super cie estéril. Procure no contaminar la bolsa interior durante este proceso.
Enfermero o técnico de quirófano en condiciones asépticas
4. Abra la bolsa interna y deje que el contenido se deslice sobre una super cie estéril.
5. Saque las dos lentes de la envoltura tejida sin tocar las super cies de las mismas.
6. Sujete la lente de corrección ( gura 1-A) por el borde y colóquela en el portalentes ( gura 1-B) de modo que las pestañas del
anillo de montaje encajen en los engarces del portalentes.
7. Gire la lente de corrección hacia la derecha hasta sobrepasar la resistencia del muelle de seguridad. Así se evita que la lente
de corrección se pueda desprender y caer.
8. Usando el pulgar y el dedo índice, sujete la lente de campo ancho ( gura 1-D) por ambos lados del mango de color negro
sin tocar la super cie de la misma ( gura 1). Si sujeta el mango de forma distinta podría romperse antes de tiempo.
La lente está bien orientada si su posición coincide con la de la ilustración ( gura 2). Para acoplar la lente, introduzca la
lengüeta negra de plástico en la ranura ( gura 1-C) venciendo una cierta resistencia, hasta que los pequeños salientes
exteriores encajen en su posición con un clic.
9. Para quitar las lentes una vez usadas, sujete el mango de la lente de campo ancho como se indica en la gura 3, y
simplemente rómpalo empujando hacia abajo con fuerza. Saque la parte restante del mango y deséchela. Gire la lente de
corrección hacia la izquierda y levántela con cuidado del anillo de montaje.
Instrucciones: lente de contacto Hassan-Tornambe
1. Bascule el módulo de campo ancho hacia arriba para apartarlo del camino óptico del microscopio.
2. Lave bien la cornea con solución oftálmica.
3. Sujete la lente por el borde, procurando no tocar la super cie de la misma, y coloque una "lágrima" de lubricante oftálmico
en la parte inferior curva de la lente de contacto.
4. Póngala sobre la córnea, con el lado curvo hacia abajo, y sujétela con una torunda de algodón, procurando que no se
mueva, durante unos segundos para desplazar las burbujas de aire que pudiera haber y estabilizar la lente en el ojo.
Instrucciones: funda del tornillo de apriete
1. Sujete la funda del tornillo de apriete por el extremo plano y póngasela por encima al tornillo de la cola de milano.
2. Para apretar o a ojar el tornillo de apriete, sujete la funda por la parte redondeada.
3. Después de usarla, quite la funda sujetándola por el extremo plano y tirando de ella para sacarla del tornillo.
Instrucciones: correas de transmisión
1. Consulte las instrucciones de uso del fabricante de BIOM®.
Esterilización:
Estos artículos se suministran estériles y son válidos para UN SOLO USO. Después de la intervención deben desecharse
correctamente siguiendo las normas del centro en materia de eliminación de residuos médicos contaminados.
El contenido es estéril si no ha caducado y siempre que el envase no se haya abierto, estropeado o humedecido.
