8. OPERATION

8.1 BEFORE INITIAL USE

NOTE!
Before starting your new cooler for the first time, you should clean it inside and
outside with a damp cloth for hygienic reasons (please also refer to chapter
"Cleaning and maintenance" on page 34).
Selecting the temperature units
You can switch the temperature unit between Celsius and Fahrenheit. How to do it:
• Switch on the cooler
• Press the "SET" button (fig. 1.2, page 22) 4x.
• Use the "UP +" (fig. 1.4, page 22) or "DOWN –" (fig. 1.3, page 22)
buttons to select Celsius or Fahrenheit.
The selected temperature unit appears in the display for a few seconds and will
be applied automatically. The display flashes several times before it returns to the
current temperature.

8.2 ENERGY SAVING TIPS

• Choose a well-ventilated installation location which is protected against
direct sunlight.
• Allow warm food or beverages to cool down first before placing them in
the cooler to keep them cool.
• Do not open the cooler more often than necessary.
• Do not leave the cooler open longer than necessary.
• Defrost the cooler once a layer of ice forms.
• Avoid unnecessarily low temperatures.
