GENERAL INFORMATION

The RKN4136 Ignition Sense Cable allows the
radio to be turned on and off by the vehicle ignition
switch. The cable assembly features an in-line fuse
to provide circuit protection and a quick-disconnect
connector to aid in the radio installation and
removal.

INSTALLATION

The following installation procedure assumes
that the location for mounting the radio has been
selected and the mounting bracket has been
installed.
1. Route the wire with the contact terminal
through accessory connector strain relief as
shown in Figure 1a. For applications with
multiple accessories connected to the mobile
radio, route wires as shown in Figure 1b and
secure with a cable tie after completing step 2.
2. Plug the wire with the contact terminal into pin
#25 of the accessory connector (see Figure 2).
3. Connect the fuse holder assembly of the
accessory cable to the ignition switch of the
vehicle.
The fuse holder assembly must be

installed to provide circuit protection to the
radio.
WARNING
4. Connect the accessory wire and the fuse holder
assembly using the quick-disconnect connectors.
