This Quick Guide explains how to install your PrintServer.

Installation

1. Make sure no power cord is connected to the PrintServer.
2. The PrintServer is equipped with one Centronics
PARALLEL port and one USB port. Connect the printer to
any of these.
3. Power on the printer.
Connect the network cable to the 10/100BASE-TX port
on the rear panel of the PrintServer.
4. Connect power supply (Note
PrintServer. The green LED's on the PrintServer front will
blink during the power on and self-test cycle. Only use the
power supply provided with the product. The output is
rated 5VDC @ 0.5A.
5. The complete Installation Guide will be printed on the
printer connected to either the PARALLEL or the USB
port.
6. For any further configuration of LinkCom IV, please install
and start PrintGuide from the supplied CD/USB.

Note : LinkCom IV supports PoE (Power Over Ethernet) External power
supply is not needed in case sufficient power is supplied over the network.
Generate Settings Printout
1. Make sure that both the PrintServer and printer are
powered on.
2. Generate a settings printout by pressing the TEST key
once on the PrintServer's rear panel. The test page(s)
shows the internal settings of the PrintServer. The page(s)
are printed on the printer connected to either the
PARALLEL or the USB port.
