SHEILA B HELIBALL
INSTRUCTION MANUAL
™ & © Univeral Studios
What does it do?
The Sheila B Heliball counter-rotating propellers
provide lift for vertical flight. A sensor located at the
bottom of Sheila B bounces off a surface placed below
it is the operator can change the vehicle's altitude.
How does it work?
Sheila B's counter rotating main propellers rely on
an ingenious drive mechanism. The drive shaft of
the upper propeller is a solid rod extending through
a tube. That tube is the drive shaft for the lower
propeller. The gearing spins the propellers in opposite
directions.
Small weights above the rotor create a gyroscopic
effect - their rapid rotation helps return the machine to
Instructions:
Before use, please ensure an adult has installed the batteries correctly using the instructions shown in this
instruction manual.
Battery Installation:
Uses: 1 x 3V CR2032 battery (battery included).
1. Use a small screwdriver to insert into the hole in the
battery cover as seen below and press the emboss
mark. Rotate the cover anti-clockwise to remove.
Install the battery, making sure the polarity (+ and -) is
matched as shown.
Replace battery compartment lid & secure.
2. Connect your Sheila B to the charging port using
the lead provided. The charging point is located on
the Sheila B basket. The internal LED will turn red to
indicate charging.
Note: Charge time of 30 minutes will provide flying
time of 5 minutes.
3. Press the ON/OFF switch on the back of the
flying Sheila B. A light will appear to indicate that it is
activated.
4. Place Sheila B on any flat surface, press the button
on the remote control handle to start the flight.
Use the remote control hand - or any part of your
body, to control the flight of the Sheila B Heliball.
Note: Please do not attempt to hit the flying Sheila B
hot air balloon with the remote control. Sheila B will
switch off when the batteries are low.
Only use the charger included in this pack to re-
charge your flying Sheila B.
horizontal.
It uses a "proximity sensor' to respond to movements.
"Proximity" is a fancy word for how to close one thing
is to another. The sensor sends out a wave of infra-
red light - just like a regular light, only at a wavelength
our eyes cannot see. That light wave bounces against
a nearby surface and is received by a diode. The
diode works like a gate. The closer the object is, the
"wider" that gate will open and the more voltage will
flow through its circuit. The increase in voltage tells
the propellers to spin faster, creating more lift.
