The hardware components:
The
golden
IMAGE Hand Scanner Hardware package con
sists of three parts:
* Scanner Head.
* Cartridge Interface.
* Power Supply.
The cartridge interface is installed in your computer and pro
vides the connection between your computer and the
golden
IMAGE
scanner.
Take a few moments to familiarize yourself with the scanner:
* Scanning Window: Lets you see what's being scanned. The
light comes on when it is ready to scan.
* Scanning Indicator: Lets you know if you are moving the
scanner too fast which may cause lose of image data.
* Scan button: Needs to be depressed during the scan.
* Photo/Letter Mode Switch: Can be set to read the scann
ed image in four tonal variations: color, shades of gray
or black and white.
* Contrast Setting: Adjusts the brightness between light and
dark areas of the image.
* Resolution Switch: Lets you select from four scanning
resolution: 100,200,300, and 400 dots per inch.
