Riding Xwheel

a. Preparation
Always wear an appropriate safety helmet, and other protection such as elbow and knee protectors, etc.
Wear comfortable clothes, socks and shoes. Do not ride the Xwheel bearfoot or in open-toed shoes or high-heels.
Make sure the battery is charged.
Make sure the tire is properly inflated.
b. Riding Guidelines
Please practise in a large, safe, even-surface ground free of any form of crowd.
Please use a learning band which comes together with your Xwheel.
You may get started with help from friends or using a wall to find the balance at first.
Stay alert and stay aware of any obstables that is ahead of you.
Keep your feet and leg in the center of the Xwheel pedal.
Start slow and do not accelerate too fast.
Your lower legs should rest comfortably and firmly against the leg pads.
Keep your body upright but stay relaxed on the Xwheel.
Keep certain speed in order to keep balance.
The Xwheel is built with a gyro-sensor which keeps front and back stablizaton. However, you should do your part
to keep the left-right balance when riding.

c. Using the learning band
When practicing the Xwheel, we suggest that you use the learning band in order to avoid any damage to your
Xwheel when you have to step off the wheel. You can use the band to keep the Xwheel from falling over or roll-
ing away.
Simply attach the learning band to the handle and hold it with one hand. Please try to stay relaxed with the
learning band. Holding the band too tight will make it difficult to keep balance when riding on the Xwheel.
d. How to Start?
After going through above preparation, you can now start riding the Xwheel by following below steps:
1.
Set the wheel on the ground vertically. Please make sure the power button is next to your right leg. Turn the
power on and the green power LED light will light up.
2.
Unfold the pedals and put one foot on one pedal and stand up straight. While your foot stands on the pedal,
your leg has to push lightly against the leg pad in order to keep the Xwheel standing vertically.
3.
Now lightly push off the ground with the other foot and put it on the pedal immediately .
4.
Lean forward gradually to get some speed but DO NOT learn forward too fast and too much.
5.
To slow down, simply shift your body weight backward slowly.
6.
To turn left or right, lean the wheel in the direction where you want to go by adjusting the press of foot.
7.
To stop, slow down by leaning backward and step off with one foot and set the other foot on the pedal the same
way as when you start. Turn off the power, and grab the handle.
