OPERATION

1. Close the lid and plug in the appli-
ance.
2. The orange indicator light will come
on and the hotplates will heat up.
Set the temperature by turning the
temperature selector.
3. The appliance is ready for use when
the green indicator light comes on.
Note! The lights do not tell you if your
waffles are ready or not.
4. Press the release button on the lid,
and open the lid. The non-stick plates
should be lightly greased with a small
amount of oil, margarine or butter
before use.
5. Pour a portion of batter in the hotplate
recesses, and if necessary, spread
the batter with a rubber spatula or the
like.
6. Close the upper lid and press down
gently to help spread the batter
evenly.
7. Once the baking process is finished,
remove the waffles immediately.
8. Place fresh batter into the appli-
ance immediately after removing the
waffles.
9. After use, remove the plug from the
wall socket and allow the appliance to
cool down with open cooking plates.

PRACTICAL HINTS

• In order to maintain the crispness of
the waffles, place them next to each
other on a rack to cool. (Placed on
top of each other, the waffle will lose
their crispness).
• If milk is used instead of water, the
waffles will be softer and darker.
• In order to achieve even browning,
all ingredients should have the same
temperature.
CLEANING
Unless clearly specified in the below
cleaning instructions, please note that
none of the parts of this appliance are
dishwasher safe.
Before cleaning, remove the plug from the
wall socket and wait until the appliance
has cooled down with the cooking plates
open.
For reasons of electrical safety, never use
water or any other kind of liquid on the
appliance nor immerse it.
Clean the outside of the appliance with a
soft damp cloth only.
The non-stick coated plates can be
cleaned with a damp cloth or a soft brush.
