DESCRIPTION
The digital message module is a universal flash memory mo-
dule to hold MP3 files. It can be used either as advertising
announcement tool or as message bank for voice evacuati-
on systems. Because its flash memory is permanently mo-
nitored DMM-618 B acts as an ideal addition to any existing
voice evacuation or paging system.
The front panel display informs about the operational state
of DMM-618 B at all times. Fault indications are also offered
with a changeover contact to communicate with external
units. Messages can be started by pressing the keys 1 to
6 on the front panel. An additional stop button can be used
to manually end an announcement. For remote triggering
DMM-618 B offers 18 dry contacts on its rear side. Up to
18 messages can be triggered remotely, for example from
an system clock (e.g. PTC-240 D), from AAS-100 A or any
other NO contact. A jumper is used to switch between im-
pulse triggering or the permanent closure of a contact. The
running time and quantity of text messages is only limited by
the size of the SD memory card. Cards with a capacity up to
8 GB can be used with DMM-618 B.
The display informs about the operating status of the device
(error message, launched text, ID tags). For a fault message,
a potential-free changeover contact is available. The text
lengths of the files will depend on the size of the SD memory
card. Cards can be inserted up to 8 GB.
Serial output
All state changes in the contacts are offered in a serial si-
gnal in addition to the dry contacts themselves. The signal
level matches with a TTL signal. Combined with a TIF-404 C
telephone interface unit the contacts can be activated by
RS-232 directly.

Das Digital Message Modul ist ein universelles Speichermo-
dul für MP3-Files. Es lässt sich in zwei Betriebsarten betrie-
ben, als Sprachspeicher für Alarmierungssysteme oder als
Werbetextgerät. Durch seinen überwachten Speicher und
den Störmeldeausgang eignet es sich ideal als Ergänzung
zu jedem bestehenden ELA-System.
An der Gerätefront befinden sich 7 Tasten. Die Tasten 1-6
starten den jeweiligen Text, die Taste „Stop" beendet das
Abspielen. Weiterhin ist eine Reset-Taste vorgesehen. An
der Rückseite stehen 18 potentialfreie Kontakte zur Verfü-
gung, die durch Überbrückung eines Kontaktes die 18 Texte
automatisch starten, z. B. von einer Hauptuhr, wie z. B. PTC-
240 D, vom AAS-100 A oder von jedem externen Schlie-
ßerkontakt. Durch einen Jumper kann man den Betrieb als
Impuls- oder Dauerkontakt festlegen. Weiterhin stehen eine
Prioritätssteuerung (Text 1 oberste Priorität, Text 18 niedrig-
ste Priorität), ein zusätzlich geschalteter NF-Ausgang sowie
ein Vorrangkontakt zur Verfügung.
Ein Display informiert über die Betriebszustände des Ge-
rätes (Störmeldung, Text gestartet, ID-Tags). Für eine Stör-
meldung steht ein potentialfreier Wechslerkontakt zur Ver-
fügung. Die Textlängen der Files hängen von der Größe
der SD-Speicherkarte ab. Hier können Karten bis 8 GB
eingesetzt werden.
Serieller Ausgang
Alle Kontaktänderungen werden parallel zum Vorrang-Kon-
takt auch als serielles Signal ausgegeben. Der Ausgangs-
pegel entspricht dem TTL Signal. In Verbindung mit dem
TIF-404 C kann das Gerät direkt über RS-232 angesteuert
werden.
MERKMALE
• Als Ergänzung zu bereits bestehenden ELA-Systemen
ideal kombinierbar mit dem AAS-100 A, TIF-404 C,
PTC-240 D und den Anlagensystemen der VARES-
Serien.
• Weiterhin kann dieses Modul in Kleinzentralen der Serie
„VARIO-LINE" und allen anderen ELA-Anlagen einge-
setzt werden.
