Safety information

Risk of injury if the operating instructions are
not observed!
These operating instructions contain important
information for the safe handling of the carrier
rack. Special reference is made to possible
dangers. Failure to observe these dangers
could result in injury or accident.
Please read the operating instructions
thoroughly.
Follow the safety instructions in these
operating instructions.
Keep the operating instructions in an
accessible place.
Use of the rack is prohibited in the following
cases:
- If the carrier rack is damaged.
- For unauthorised conversions or
modifications.
- For children or persons who are unable to
assess the risks involved in handling the
rack.
In the following cases, the manufacturer
assumes no liability or warranty for damage:
- Failure to observe the operating instructions
- In the event of improper use.
- In the event of improper handling.
- When using spare parts that have not been
authorised by the manufacturer.
- In the event of unqualified repair of the carrier
rack.

Proper use

The e.carry bike rack is exclusively suitable for
mounting on the e.base accessory base and on
the e.carry plus extension kit.
The carrier rack is suitable for use when driving
on tarmacked roads. Off-road use is not
permitted.
The carrier rack may only be used if it is
correctly installed and in a technically perfect
condition.
Proper use also includes observing the
information on the type plate and reading and
observing these operating instructions.
Any other use is considered contrary to the
intended purpose.

Safety instructions for use

In road traffic, the driver is responsible for the
safety of the vehicle and its load.
The country-specific laws on load securing take
precedence and must be observed at all times
(e.g. mandatory indication with a warning
sign).
The following values must be observed when
using the carrier rack:
- Maximum carrying capacity of the rack of
70 kg for 2 bikes (maximum 35 kg per bike).
- Vehicle's permissible axle load.
- Vehicle's permissible total weight.
Please refer to your vehicle's manual and/or
registration document for information
regarding the axle load and total weight.
