1. Start-up
Unscrew the cap sealing the ventilation line
(item 1). Turn the ball valve of the discharge
line (item 2) to the "open" position. The filling
level is checked visually by unscrewing the
cap of the filling opening (item 3).
Please note: Before starting the tanking pro-
cedure make sure that the venti-
lation line (item 1) as well as the
discharge line (item 2) are open.
2. Filling the tank
Unscrew the cap on the filling opening (item 3).
The tank must be filled using a delivery nozzle
with an automatic shut-off.
3. Preparing the container for transportation
Replace the screw cap sealing the ventilation
line (item 1).
Turn the ball valve of the discharge line
(item 2) to the "shut" position.
Replace the cap on the filling opening (item 3).
Please note: If excess pressure builds up in
the closed container during
storage or transport due to
increased temperature, this
pressure is relieved via the
safety valve (item 4).

Important
According to ADR 5.2.1.2, every fuel container
used for carriage must be clearly and indelibly
labelled with the UN number of the contents and
the hazard label.
The UN number (UN 1202) for diesel fuel and
fuel oil and the hazard label (flame on a red
background) are enclosed.
According to ADR, 6.5.4.4.1 b), the CHEMO
MULTI-Tank shall be inspected to the satisfac-
tion of the competent authority at intervals not
exceeding two and a half years with regard to
its external condition and the proper function-
ing of the service equipment.
ADR 6.5.4.4.2: Each metal IBC, rigid plastic
IBC and composite IBC used for the carriage
of liquid or solid materials that are filled or
discharged under pressure shall be subjected
to the leakproofness test as an initial test (i.e.
before the IBC is first used for carriage), after
repairs and at intervals not exceeding two and
a half years.
Please note: The initial test was carried
out in the works before the
container was shipped.
A report of the periodic
inspection must be kept by
the owner. The transport
approval for all plastic IBCs is
limited to a period of 5 years.
The MULTI-Tank 340 l with
cover is approved for trans-
portation with a mounted
pump.
