Application

This device is intended for the measurement of the relative
humidity and temperature of the ambient air. In doing so the
measurement signals are converted into standard signals
with 4...20mA. The sensor is intended for the measurement
of unpolluted, non-condensing air without any positive or
negative pressure.
Areas of application include medical technology, refrigeration
technology, control systems, air conditioning technology and
clean-room systems for example.
The characteristics of the humidity sensor include high preci-
sion, good long-term stability and immunity to condensation
as well as a small hysteresis.
The sensor is protected by a sintered filter and can be re-
placed via a screw connection in the event of it being con-
taminated. The sensors themselves are fitted in a metal tube
so that the warming up of the analogue unit has no detrimen-
tal influence on the measurement.

The load resistance (apparent ohmic resistance) must not exceed 500 Ohms. The
maximum length of the signal line is only restricted by the maximum load that can
be driven by the current source.

Do not use the device for monitoring situations which serve exclusively to protect
personnel. Do not use the device as the emergency stop switch for the system and
machine or for any other similar safety-relevant equipment.

Do not set the device down in the vicinity of heat sources or their heat flows and
avoid direct solar and thermal radiation (e.g. halogen spotlights).

The connection of an over-voltage or the connection of an operating voltage at the
output will result in the device being destroyed.

Pay close attention to the installation location: The device must not be mounted with
the sensor upwards as it is necessary for air to flow through/past the sensor for it
to measure correctly.

Use screened wires, avoid laying them parallel to current-carrying wiring and observe
the EMC guidelines.
