MOUNTING
1. The chime should be installed by a qualified
INSTRUCTION
electrician.
2. Double insulated copper wire with a cross-
section of 0.5mm
wiring.
3. The power circuit must be protected by a
suitable fuse or switch to disconnect the circuit in
the event of overloading, and a two way switch with
a minimum distance of 3mm (0.12 inch) between
contacts.
4. Ensure that the power circuit voltage parameters
match rated voltage level and frequency of the
chime, i.e. 230V/50Hz.
5. Turn the doorchime circuit power off by cutting
off the power circuit with an appropriate switch or
unscrew the fuse. If a flat excess current switch
(installation switch) is built into the circuit, turn the
switch to the "off" ("0") position.
6. WARNING! Check with an electric probe whether
the circuit has been successfully disconnected.
7. Detach the chime cover by levering the lock with
a screwdriver.
8. Choose a location on the wall, then drill two
holes and insert plugs.
9. Fit the doorchime circuit cables through a round
opening in the chime base, and mount the base
on the wall using the screws, keeping it in upright
position (marked on the housing).
10. Remove about 10mm of insulation from chime
push wire endings and attach them in the connec-
ting terminals 1 and 2.
11. Remove about 10mm of insulation from sup-
plying wire endings 230V and attach them in the
connecting terminals 3 and 4.
12. Attach the chime cover.
13. Turn the power on in the doorchime circuit.
14. Check the operation of the chime by pressing
the doorchime button.
WARNING! Before detaching the cover, make sure
that the chime power is off. Check with an electric
probe!
