Measure a page
The ES-6000 feeds a page automatically and scans the page to measure color values.
The operation of the ES-6000 is controlled by your software.
The ES-6000 supports the following measurement modes. Select the measurement mode in your software.

M0 - UV included
•
M1 - D50, UV included
•
M2 - UV cut
If multiple ES-6000 instruments are connected to the same subnet as your computer, you can measure a page using
any of the instruments. An identification barcode on the page is used to send the measurements to your computer.
1 For network operation, press the button on the left side of the instrument.
You do not need to press the button if the ES-6000 is connected through a USB cable.
2 When the measurement light is blinking green, insert the page into the left side of the slot, in the direction
indicated on the page.
Thick paper may require slight pressure to feed the page. Curled paper may require a side-to-side motion.
A maximum paper weight of 300 gsm is supported.

Maintenance

Clear a paper jam
1 Turn off the ES-6000.
2 Try to pull the page out of the instrument.
3 If you cannot pull the page out, disconnect the cables from the ES-6000.
4 Insert a flat screwdriver in the slot at the center of the cover and turn it to open the cover.
5 Move the measuring head carriage all the way to the left by pushing the plastic housing of the motor. Touch only
the motor.
6 Turn the roller wheel until the page is free.
7 Close the cover, reconnect the cables, and turn on the ES-6000.
Clean the white calibration tile
Clean the white calibration tile once a year or when the software indicates that cleaning is needed.
1 Turn off the ES-6000.
2 Disconnect the cables from the ES-6000.
3 On the bottom of the ES-6000, press the latch of the white calibration tile holder and flip it out.
4 Using alcohol and a cotton swab or lint-free wipe, clean the white tile.
