Tum ott the power to all
components ot the computer
system.

Plug the AC Power Adapter
into the wall outlet.
3.Plug the smaller end of the
adapter into the hole marked
POWER
Il'J
at the rear of the
disk drive.
4.Plug one end of the Serial 1/0
Cable into the jack marked
PERIPHERAL at the rear of the
computer console. Plug the
other end of the cable into one
of the two jacks marked 1/0
CONNECIDRS at the rear of the
disk drive. (The ATARI Program
Recorder can be plugged into
the remaining 1/0 connector
jack.)
WARNIN'G, The disk drive must be
placed at least 30 cm trom the
television set. Television creates a
strong magnetic field that can
attect the information stored on
diskette.

Tum on the disk drive. Both
the POWER light (next to the
swìtch) and the BUSY light

above the swìtch) will go on

When the BUSY light goes off,
carefully insert a diskette into
the opening with the label fac-
ing up and out. Slide the disk-
ette all the way in; then tum
the latch on the tront ot the
drive to the down (vertical)
position
