Der Scanic DJ Scanner DMX verfügt über verschiedene Be-
triebsarten:
Stand-Alone-Modus
Empfängt der Scanner kein DMX Signal, ist automatisch die
Musiksteuerung aktiv. Mit dem Empfindlichkeitregler -5- kön-
nen Sie einstellen, wie stark der Lichteffekt durch das Mik-
rofon auf Musik reagiert. Sie benötigen keinen Controller.
In einer DMX-Kette wird der erste Scanner zum Masterge-
rät, die nachfolgenden Scanner zu Slave-Geräten. Im Musik-
steuerungsmodus werden die Dipschalter-Adressierungen
nicht berücksichtigt.
DMX-Modus
Um im DMX-Modus arbeiten zu können, müssen zunächst
alle Scanic Geräte mit einem handelsüblichen, 3poligen
DMX-Kabel (XLR) verbunden werden. (Die Belegung der Pole
finden Sie auf der Geräte-Rückseite.)
Verbinden Sie nun den Ausgang -3- des ersten Gerätes mit
dem Eingang -4- des zweiten Gerätes, den Ausgang des
zweiten Gerätes mit dem Eingang des 3 Gerätes usw..
Wenn der Scanner DMX-Daten empfängt blinkt die Anzeige
-7-.
Der Scanic DJ Scanner DMX ist mit einer Auto-Locate-Funk-
tion ausgestattet: Werden die Geräte mit einem DMX-Kabel
miteinander verbunden, oder wird ein Scanner in eine schon
existierende Kette eingefügt, so adressieren sie sich selbst-
ständig.
Die Adressierung funktioniert bei fast allen gängigen DMX-
Controllern automatisch. Sollte das nicht funktionieren, so
können sie den Kanal auch manuell einstellen:

Möchten Sie Ihrem Scanner z.B. den Kanal 6 zuweisen, so
positionieren Sie die DIP-Schalter 2 (Wert 2) und den DIP-
Schalter 3 (Wert 4) in Stellung „On" (2 + 4 = 6). Der Scanner
belegt somit die Kanäle 6 bis 10.

The DJ Scanner DMX features different modes:
Stand-Alone Operation
If the DJ Scanner DMX does not receive a DMX signal, the
music control will be activated automatically. With the sen-
sitivity control -5- you can adjust the microphone reaction to
music. There is no need of a controller.
In a DMX chain the first Scanner will become the master unit
and all other units will become slave units. In this case, all
dipswitch settings are irrelevant.
DMX-Mode
To operate in DMX mode first you must link all devices by
using a standard, 3-pin DMX cable. (You can find the pin
assignment on the backside of the device).
Connect the output -3- of the first device with the input -4- of
the second device and the output of the second device with
the input of the third device and so on.
If the Scanner receives DMX data, the LED -7- flashes.
The Scanic DJ Scanner DMX is equipped with an auto-locate-
feature. This allows you to link the devices together or into
a pre-existing DMX chain and they will set themselves auto-
matically.
This function is designed to work with nearly all DMX control-
lers. If the auto-locate- mode does not work, please set the
addressing as follows:

If you want to assign your Scanner the channel 6, you have
to set dipswitch 2 (value 2) and dipswitch 3 (value 4) in
position "on" (2 + 4 = 6). Now the Scanner occupies the
channels 6 to 9.
