TROUBLE SHOOTING
Note: Do not attempt to replace a defective mains cord. The
appliance has to be returned to an authorized service center
for repair.
Problem
Iron emits an
odor or smoke

Cause/Solution
Oils used during manufacture need to
be burnt off for about ten minutes, then
the odor will disappear. So it is normal
when it turns on for the first time use.
Make sure the iron to be plugged into
a 220-240 Volt, AC electrical outlet
only.
Ensure the iron is on and power light
is illuminated.
Adjust the temperature knob to the
correct setting for your garment.
Ensure water tank level is at least 1/4
full
Ensure steam knob is switched on
Press Shot of steam button several
times to prime
The water tank must be at least 1/4
full. Fill the tank as described in the
section "How to fill the water tank"
