Starting

1. Set the Economy switch to off
2. Connect your devices:
• AC: Connect device's plug to 3-pin plug outlet
• DC: Connect your device's black wire to the black negative terminal, the red wire to the red positive
terminal. The DC output can be used to charge the battery (electric start models only)
3. Turn the fuel tap to 'ON' (A)
4. Set the engine switch to 'ON'
5. Push the choke lever to the left (closed position) (B)
Note: Choke is not required to start a warm engine
6. Pull recoil start handle to start the engine
Note: Grasp the carrying handle firmly to prevent the generator from falling over when pulling the
recoil starter.

Stopping

1. Turn off any electrical devices
2. Turn the economy switch to 'OFF'
3. Disconnect any electrical devices
4. Turn the key in the ignition barrel to the 'OFF' position
5. Turn the fuel dial to 'OFF'
