Single fan installation for Essence

Essence fans can be controlled by a 4–20 mA analog signal when connected as shown below. The provided 500
®
Ω resistor is required. A 4 mA signal will develop 1 V (minimum speed) across the fan's analog input, and a 20 mA
signal will develop 10 V (maximum speed) across the fan's analog input.
The Essence wall controller is not used when SmartSense is installed. Start/Stop for the fan can be accomplished
by using a switch inline with the AC power to the fan.

*Note: If this circuit is open, the fan will shut down and issue
a Run Enable Jumper Open error. The jumper must stay
closed for the fan to run. A zero speed reference (under 1 V)
will bring the fan to a stop. To restart the fan, close the circuit
and reset power to the fan.
