Operation; Maintenance - DEFA Rettbox Gebrauchsanleitung

• (Rettbox®-air) Connect the compressed air pipe.
• Connect the DEFA PlugIn cable to the PlugIn-connector on the backside of the Rettbox® (Figure 4, page 26).
• Connect the preassembled 1.5 mm² cross-section wires to starter signal (+50) and ground. Blue = Plus, Brown = Minus.
• Only devices with compatible contact configurations and electrical ratings will mate with each other.
• Lift Rettbox®/Rettbox®-air sliding cover and keep it up (Figure 5, page 27).
• Open connector cover, hinge at the top, and insert it over the vehicle inlet until it latches.
The vehicle is powered (Figure 6, page 27).
• When 230V is connected the LED light on the left side will light up (Figure 7, page 27).
• There is a resettable 16A fuse on the right side. If an overcurrent condition occur, remove the load,
wait for the fuse to cool down and push the button to reset the fuse (Figure 7, page 27).
• When the engine is started, the connector is ejected from the vehicle inlet and the sliding lid closes automatically.
The vehicle can drive away in complete safety.
• Adjust the length of the supply flexible cord to prevent the connector from falling onto the floor when ejected.
• Ensure that the fixing screws, caps and cable glands are tight.
• Verify that the weight of the cable is supported by the strain relief mechanism and not by the terminal connections.
• Check the cleanliness of contacts. Any deposit can be rubbed off with a clean cloth or compressed air.
If necessary, replace damaged contacts.
• Inspect periodically IP gaskets for wear and resilience. Replace as required.
• Check regularly the continuity of the earth circuit by electric tests.
