12. Release the clamp by lowering the handle and pull it up. Remove the book by lifting the
turntable slightly with the clamp handle.
If the cover does not require trimming, the book is ready. The book can be used normally,
but the binding has not yet reached the maximum strength. Complete curing time depends
on the type of hot melt, but for thick books bound with Fastbind Type 1 hot melt, the recom-
mended waiting time is 15 to 30 minutes. The fi nal strength is reached during the fi rst 24
hours.

13. To cut the longer tail of the cover, place the book in the middle of the cutting support and
slip the cover into slot.
14. Hold the book with your fi ngers and move the cutter all the way cross the book. If neces-
sary, trim twice.
