5. When the water boils, the appliance will switch off automatically and the indicator
light will go off.
6. You can pour the water out without opening the lid.
7. If you wish to stop the boiling process or interrupt it temporarily, switch the
appliance off by pushing the switch upwards to the position "O", before removing the
kettle from its base.
Note:
This appliance comes with a safety device which automatically switches off the
heater element if the applicance is inadvertently switched when empty, or if it boils
dry. In this case, let the applicance cool down completely, before filling with water
again.

CLEANING AND CARE

Please also observe the safety advice for this.
1. Always remove the plug from the mains socket before cleaning the base. Let the
kettle cool down completely.
2. Clean the outside of the kettle and the base with a soft damp cloth. Do not use
scouring materials.
3. Descale at regular intervals. Use a descaling agent, which can be obtained from
specialist shops, and follow the instructions given.
4. Don't use any metal object or hard object to clean the heater otherwise it will be
scraped.
