IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Read these instructions carefully and retain them for future use. If this
product is passed to a third party, then these instructions must be
included.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed
to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons including the

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the

• Never use the vacuum cleaner without filter inserts. This could damage the motor
and shorten the life of the product.
• Only use this product for its intended use.
• To avoid damaging the cord, do not squeeze, bend or chafe it on sharp edges.
Keep it away from hot surfaces and open flames as well.
• Take extra care when working on stairs.
• Lay out the cord in such a way that no unintentional pulling or tripping over is
possible. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
• If an extension cord is used, its capacity needs to be suitable for the power
consumed by the product.
• Before connecting the product to the power supply, check that the power supply
voltage and current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on
the product rating label.
• Do not pull the power plug out of the electrical outlet by the power cord and do
not wrap the power cord around the product.
• Disconnect the power plug from the electrical outlet when not in use, before any
maintenance and before cleaning.
• Never operate the appliance with any air openings blocked. Keep ventilation
openings free from the accumulation of lint, dust, and loose cloth.
