Do not install the stove in a bedroom, in a passage, or near to a flight
of stairs as it may block evacuation in case of fire. Do not install the stove
into a recess in a wall (niche) or in the floor.
7.4. Flue Installation
During the stove operation, pay special attention to the flue.
Flue (flue pipe) is a channel for exhaust gases that generates a
draught for continuous air supply, which is required for normal burning.
The stove is designed for natural draught only.
Caution! The stove should have a separate flue.
Caution! Do not connect the stove to air ducts, unless the air duct is
dedicated solely for the flue.
Caution! Do not connect the stove to the flue, which already has other
equipment or heater connected.
Caution! The stove itself does not generate any draught. Draught is
generated only by the flue.
Draught is a natural movement of air or gases through the furnace
and the flue. It is created by warm air going up.
As the warm air moves through the flue, low pressure is generated at
the area where the stove is connected to the flue. Since the pressure
outside the stove is higher, the air moves to the area with a lower pressure,
i. e. to the firebox. Thus, the air is supplied to the furnace. This constant air
supply is called the draught.
The stove will not operate effectively without a certain draught.
The optimal draught for the stove is 12 ±2 Pa.
Excessive draught results in higher fuel consumption and in
overheat of the stove and flue. This may lead to fire hazards.
In case of a low draught, the amount of air supplied to the furnace is
not sufficient for continuous and complete fuel combustion that may
result in smoke spreading, faster soot accumulation in the flue, and
