Extractor Fan Safety
WARNING: Always disconnect power at the service breaker before installing
or servicing
• This product is intended for installation by a qualified service person
• Means for disconnection must be incorporated in the fixed wiring in accordance
with the current wiring regulations
• Do not make any live electrical connection to the extractor fan until
installation is complete
• If duct work is positioned higher than the extractor fan, a condensation trap must
be fitted as close as possible to the fan to prevent water ingress
• This product is not intended for use in ambient temperatures exceeding 50°C
• Do not use this product to exhaust fumes or vapour produced from fuel burning
devices or non-electrical appliances
• Check building safety regulations before installing the extractor fan in a room
with a fuel burning device and flue to ensure it is safe to do so. If in doubt,
consult a qualified service person
• Do not locate any ON/OFF switches within distance of persons using
a shower or bath
• Ensure location of fan and structural changes in walls and windows comply with
any building regulations. If in doubt, consult a qualified professional
Intended Use
Single speed wall, window or panel mounted pull cord extractor fan suitable for
bathrooms, showers, utility rooms and water closets. This extractor fan is intended
for domestic use in bathroom zones 1, 2 and 3 (Fig. I).
Unpacking Your Product
• Carefully unpack and inspect your product
• Familiarise yourself with all its features and functions
• Ensure all parts of the product are present and in good condition
• If any parts are missing or damaged, have such parts replaced before
attempting to use this product
Installation
• The extractor fan is suitable to be wall mounted (Fig. II) or window
mounted (Fig. III)
• Use suitably rated 2-core cable to connect the fan to the electrical supply
• Fits 100mm (4") duct (not supplied)
