The "GAS DETECTOR" tester is a portable instrument designed to sense the presence of
combustible gases (Methane, Butane, and Propane) in the surrounding environment.
Because of its versatility, this is an indispensable professional instrument for those who
work with these gases. A probe located at the end of the instrument's long, flexible tube
allows the operator to easily check hard-to-reach places. Because of its high sensitivity,
the instrument is able to detect very small gas concentrations. Moreover, the sensitivity
can be adjusted, and interference such as air temperature, humidity, etc. can be eliminated
-- while maintaining the ability to achieve an accurate read-out in less-than-ideal
environments, such as a mechanic shop. The "GAS DETECTOR" operates with Nickel-
Cadmium rechargeable batteries.

The "GAS DETECTOR" tester operates with rechargeable Nickel-Cadmium batteries.
The unit needs recharging when the visual display shows
charge the battery, use the provided recharging unit only. Connect the recharging
unit to a 220V AC outlet, and connect the jack into the plug located on the side of the
tester (see picture). When needed, the battery recharge starts automatically with the
tester either ON or OFF. The recharging operation lasts 120 MINUTES, during which
time the visual display shows the word "RECHARGE", as well as moving markers,
indicating that the recharging operation is in progress. When the recharging phase is
complete, the unit emits a short beep, and the visual display shows: "RECHARGE
COMPLETE". To avoid battery overheating, the recharging unit automatically disengages
when the battery is fully charged. 3 hours battery life in "WORKING" condition.
