Installation

Installation AUDI Navigation Plus, VW MFD
1. Remove and disconnect the head unit.
2. Connect the blue angled plug from the cable kit with the jack in the rear of the head unit (1).
3. Connect the white (CAN high) and green wire (CAN low) from the cable kit with the CAN wires from the 26-
pin jack (2) on the rear of the head unit. In few cases the CAN wires do not exist (no TMC box). In this
case, please look for pin assignment on the top of the head unit for connection of the CAN wires: CAN
high=pin13, CAN low=pin26
4. Connect the red, loose wire from the cable kit with terminal 30 (permanent +12V), and black, loose wire
with chassis ground.
5. Connect the device remote cable kit and the vehicle cable kit (3 pin plug) via the enclosed Y-cable with the
remote control input from the video device. Due to the Y-cable, the original IR sensor can be used further
on.
6. Connect RCA jacks - audio right (red) and audio left (black) of the cable kit with the audio out of the video
source.
7. the pink loose gives +12V out (Remote) to switch on the rear view camera (Information provided by the
camera manufacturer).
8. if the navi doesn't switch automatically to the rear view camera by the reverse gear, the brown loose wire
must be connected to reverse signal (+12V) of the car.
9. Connect RCA jacks - A: video (CVBS), B: video (CVBS rear view camera) with the video source.
Connection with the video source should only be done with high quality RCA video cables otherwise the
picture quality could be bad, caused by a weak video signal.
10. Refit the head unit.
