PRINCESS CLUB WATERKETTLE
BEFORE USE
Read these instructions fully before use and keep them for future reference. Check whether the mains
voltage in your home corresponds to that of the appliance. Use only an earthed socket for this appliance.
The cordless kettle will bring water to the boil in a few minutes. The kettle is extremely convenient to
use, as it can be removed from the base. It has a safety lock on the lid, an indicator light, a thermostat and
boil–dry protection.
Place the PRINCESS CLUB WATERKETTLE on a stable, sturdy table or worktop so that the appliance
cannot be easily knocked over.
USING THE WATERKETTLE
The kettle should only be used for boiling water and is not suitable for boiling other liquids or for other
ingredients. First boil a full kettle of water to clean the kettle. Throw this water away.
Always fill the kettle to a point between the minimum and maximum indication marks. If the water level
is too low the kettle will switch off too early, whereas if the water level is too high the water will boil
over. When filling the kettle, always remove it from the base to avoid spilling water on the base.
Switch the kettle on by pressing the on–off switch. The indicator light will switch on. As soon as the
water boils, the on–off button will automatically switch to the "off" position.
If desired, the water can be brought to the boil again by pressing the button a second time. However, this
should not be done for at least 30 seconds after the kettle has automatically switched off.
If the kettle is switched on by accident when it is empty, the boil–dry protection will automatically switch
it off again. The boil–dry protection will cool down again when the kettle is filled with water. You can
then use the kettle in the normal way.
N.B.:
• Do not remove the kettle from the base until it has switched off automatically or first switch this off
manually.
• Do not fill the kettle beyond the indication mark "MAX", otherwise the water may boil over.
• This kettle should only be used with the supplied base.
CLEANING
FIRST UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE AND LET THE CAN COOL DOWN!
The outside can be wiped with a damp cloth. A dry cloth should always be used to clean the base.
DESCALING
Use a descaling agent that is suitable for domestic appliances such as coffee–makers. Use
the agent according to the instructions on the packaging. Do not switch on the kettle when
descaling, but allow the agent to soak in when cold. Rinse the can several times with clean
water after descaling.
PRINCESS TIPS
• Place the appliance on a firm and stable surface.
• Never immerse the appliance in water or in any other liquid.
• The outside of the kettle gets very hot. Only use the handle to pick up the kettle.
