DESCALING
Use a descaling agent that is suitable for domestic appliances such as coffee–makers. Use the agent
according to the instructions on the packaging. Do not switch the can on when descaling, but allow
the agent to soak in when cold. Rinse the can several times with clean water after descaling.

BEFORE USE

Read these instructions fully before use and keep them for future reference. Check whether the
mains voltage in your home corresponds to that of the appliance. Use only an earthed socket for
this appliance.
The cordless kettle is made of stainless steel and will bring a maximum of 1 litre of water to the
boil in a few minutes. The can is extremely convenient to use, as it can be removed from the base.
It has a safety lock on the lid, a pilot lamp, a thermostat and a boiling–dry protection.
Place the PRINCESS CLASSIC CORDLESS WATERKETTLE on a stable, firm table or worktop
so that the appliance cannot be easily knocked over.

USING THE KETTLE

The kettle should only be used for boiling water and is not suitable for boiling other liquids or for
other ingredients. First boil a full can of water to clean the can. Throw this water away.
Always fill the can to a point between the minimum and maximum indication marks. If the water
level is too low the can will switch off too early, whereas if the water level is too high the water
will boil over. When filling the can, always remove it from the base to avoid spilling water on the
base.
Switch the can on by pressing the on–off switch under the handle. The pilot lamp will light up. As
soon as the water boils, the on–off button will automatically switch to the "off" position.
If desired, the water can be brought to the boil again by pressing the button a second time.
However, this should not be done for at least 30 seconds after the can has automatically switched
off.
If the can is switched on by accident when it is empty, the boiling–dry protection will automatically
switch it off again. The boiling–dry protection will cool down again when the can is filled with
water. You can then use the kettle in the normal way.
N.B.:
• Remove the (jug)kettle from the base after it has turned off (either automatically or
manually).
• Do not fill the can beyond the indication mark "MAX", otherwise the water may
boil over
• This kettle should only be used with the foot supplied.
