Maintenance
and cleaning
• Never use harsh or corrosive cleaning
agents or sharp objects (such as
knives or hard brushes) when
cleaning.
• Before cleaning, make sure that the
appliance is not connected to the
power supply and that it has cooled
down.
• Never use corrosive or scouring
cleaning agents or sharp objects
(such as knives or hard brushes) to
clean the appliance.
• Never immerse the appliance in water.
• Never put the appliance in a
dishwasher.
• Make sure that no moisture can
contact the appliance's electrical
components.
1 Clean the exterior of the appliance with
a damp cloth. Dry the exterior
thoroughly.
Descaling
• Descale the appliance at regular
intervals! The guarantee on the
appliance does not cover problems
caused by limescale.
• Never use ammonia or other products
to descale the appliance. These can
be injurious to your health. Use solely
a vinegar solution, or special
descaling agents available from
retailers.

filter by unclipping it and pulling it
upwards out of the interior of the jug.

2 Clean the filter under running water, or
in vinegar. Never remove the filter
whilst the jug is still hot.
3 Fit the descaling filter in the jug, making
sure that it clicks into place.
Lime will be deposited in the appliance at a
rate depending on the hardness of the
water. For this reason the appliance must
be descaled at regular intervals.
1 Fill the jug with a vinegar solution to the
MAX level, and bring to the boil.
2 Leave the jug with the vinegar solution
to stand for a couple of hours.
3 Empty the jug, fill with clean water to
the MAX level, and bring to the boil.
Empty the jug. Repeat this process
twice.
4 Finally, rinse the jug with clean cold
water to remove all scale residues and
any other fouling.
