USE AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
FOR "AC-2" - "D / D-CE" SERIES MULTIFUNCTIONAL TANKS
"D" series products are suitable for containing drinking water and, therefore, can be used both as simple
fixed diaphragm surge tanks, as well as expansion tanks for sanitary use. Consequently, they can be used
to absorb the expanded volume of water after the system has heated.
Check the condition of the new product. If the product is damaged, do not install it but return it to the sales
outlet for immediate replacement.
READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLING THE PRODUCT
NOTICES

This product is suitable to contain water up to +99°C.

Do not exceed the max. working pressure and temperature of the tank; provide suitable controls to
avoid that.

Provide for an adequate drain system in order to avoid damages in case leaks or tank rupture.

During the installation, provide for appropriate discharging and vent valves.

During the installation, provide for appropriate discharging and vent valves.

During the design we have not considered any external stress like traffic, wind, earthquake. These
stress elements should be considered by the Installer during the installation.

Observe local regulations for installation. Qualified professional staff must check the system
periodically.

The manufacturer does not accept any responsibility for material/personal damages due to wrong
installation of the vessel.

If temperature and pressure limits will be exceeded, manufacturer will not accept any responsibility
and warranty claims will be refused.

Check the fluid compatibility with liquids different from water.

The place of installation should be protected: entry allowed to authorized staff only.

The device should be protected by suitable heart dump systems, or insulated from the plant by means
of a dielectric joint.
INSTALLATION AS SURGE TANK
1. If you are replacing a tank in an existing system, make sure you disconnect electrical power in the
control unit.
2. If the existing system used a traditional tank (without a membrane), remove the air supply devices.
3. Remove the tank packing, remove the protective cap on the air valve and check pre-charge pressure.
Make sure that pre-charge pressure is slightly below pressure switch activation pressure. Add or
remove air to/from the tank according to need and screw the protective cap back on.
4. Position the tank on a flat, stable base. Install the tank as close as possible to the pressure switch to
reduce load losses (see examples).
5. Connect the tank to the system using the straightest possible pipe link. Pipe diameter must match the
pump output diameter. Observe local installation standards.
6. We recommend you to install a safety valve to protect the system.
7. Restore electrical power to the pump electrical panel only after you have finished installing the tank
correctly.
8. Fill the system, operating the pump until the pressure switch de-activates its motor.
9. Open and close repeatedly the tap furthest from the tank to discharge all air in the pipes.
10. Open one or more faucets to empty the tank. If there is a pause between emptying the tank and pump
start, slightly increase the pressure switch activation pressure (consult the manufacturer's instructions)
or reduce the surge tank's preloading pressure, as at point 3.
11. Repeat steps 8,9 and 10 above until the pause is fully eliminated, and carefully check the seals,
making sure there are no water leaks.
12. If the above points have been observed to the letter, the system is ready for use.
13. When using the system, we advise you to periodically check the precharge pressure of the surge tank
and, if necessary, adjust it.
INSTALLATION AS EXPANSION TANK
1. Determine the system's pressure value at the tank installation point, and adjust precharge pressure so
that it matches that value.
2. Close the cap on the air valve and make sure it is tight.
3. Install the tank before the cold water delivery point between the on/off valve and the heater (or boiler).
For top performance, the tank must be installed in a vertical position (see figure).
4. Drain water from the system until all air pockets have been eliminated, and then turn on the system
until operating temperature is reached (see the heater or boiler manufacturer's instructions).
5. Slightly open a hot water faucet and wait for the water to reach the set temperature. When it has,
close the tap - the tank is now operational.

The working pressure must be equivalent to the opening pressure of security valve less 10% [Working
Pressure = (security valve P. – 10%)].
MAINTENANCE
Before starting any maintenance disconnect all the electric devices and take care of the pressure and
temperature of the system. All the heating system components should be periodically checked by
professional people (at least once per year).

VON GEFÄßE DER SERIE "AC-2" - "D / D-CE" FÜR VERSCHIEDENE
Die Produkte der Serie "D" eignen sich für Trinkwasser. Sie können daher sowohl als Heizungs-
Ausdehnungsgefäße mit fixer Membrane als auch als Ausdehnungsgefäße für Sanitärzwecke verwendet
werden. Die Funktion
Ausdehnungsvolumens des Wassers infolge von Erwärmung der Anlage sein.
Wir bitten Sie die Unversehrtheit des neuen Produktes überprüfen. Sollte das Produkt Schäden
aufweisen, beginnen sie nicht mit der Montage, sondern geben sie es der Verkaufsstelle zum sofortigen
Austausch zurück.

TECHNISCHE INFORMATION
 Dieses Produkt ist geeignet für Wassertemperaturen bis +99°C.
 Der max. Druck und die max. Temperatur des Gefäßes dürfen nicht überschritten werden; geeignete
Kontrollen sind zu diesem Zweck vorauszusehen.
 Sorgen Sie für ein adäquates Ablaufsystem um im Falle einer Undichtigkeit oder eines
Behälterdefektes Wasserschäden zu vermeiden!
 Angemessene Ablauf- und Entlüftungssysteme sind während der Anlage zu versehen.
 Keine Außenbeanspruchungen wie Verkehr, Wind oder Erdbeben sind in der Planung betrachtet
worden. Diese müssen von dem Installateur während der Einrichtung in Erwägung gezogen.
 Das Produkt gemäß der gültigen Gesetze installieren lassen. Dieses Produkt sollte regelmäßig nur
von Fachkräfte geprüft und eingebaut werden.
 Der Hersteller übernimmt keine Garantie- oder Schadenersatzansprüche bei Nichteinhaltung der
Installationsvorschriften oder gültigen Normen.
 Wird die maximale Temperatur oder der maximale Druck überschritten, lehnt der Hersteller jegliche
Garantieansprüche ab.
 Überprüfen Sie die Verträglichkeit mit Wasserverschiedenen Flüssigkeiten.
 Der Ort der installierten Einrichtung soll geschützt sein. Unbefugten ist der Zutritt verboten.
 Die Einrichtung soll mit geeigneter Erdung geschützt oder durch elektrische Verbindung von der
Anlage isoliert werden.
MONTAGE VON AUSDEHNUNGSGEFÄßEN
1. Falls Sie ein Gefäß in einer bestehenden Anlage ersetzen, versichern Sie sich, daß Sie die
Stromversorgung zur Steuerzentrale abgetrennt haben.
2. Falls in der bestehenden Anlage ein traditionelles Gefäß (ohne Membrane) verwendet wurde,
entfernen sie die Luftspeisevorrichtungen.
3. Die Verpackung vom Gefäß nehmen, den Schutzverschluß des Luftventils entfernen
Vordruck kontrollieren, sicherstellen, daß der Vordruck etwas niedriger als der Einschaltdruck des
Druckwächters ist. je nach Bedarf geben sie Luft in das Gefäß oder entnehmen welche und
anschließend schrauben Sie die Schutzkappe wieder auf.
4. Das Gefäß auf einer ebenen und stabilen Grundlage anordnen. Zur Reduzierung der
Strömungsverluste das Gefäß so nah wie möglich am Druckwächter montieren (siehe Beispiele).
5. Das Gefäß über eine Rohrleitung, mit der Anlage verbinden, die so Kurz wie möglich sein muß. Der
Durchmesser der Rohrleitung muß mit dem Durchmesser des Auslasses der Pumpe übereinstimmen.
Die örtlichen Montagevorschriften beachten.
6. Zum Schutz der Anlage wird der Einbau eines Sicherheitsventils empfohlen.

7. Die Stromzufuhr zur Schalttafel der Pumpe erst nach der korrekten Montage des Gefäßes wieder

9. Den am weitesten vom Gefäß entfernten Hahn mehrmals öffnen und schließen, damit die gesamte

10. Einen oder mehrere Hähne öffnen, um das Gefäß zu leeren; falls eine Pause zwischen dem Entleeren
des Gefäßes und dem Start der Pumpe festgestellt wird, so muß der Einschaltdruck des

Druckwächters etwas erhöht (die Herstelleranweisungen zu Rate ziehen) oder der Vordruck des

Ausdehnungsgefäßes wie in Punkt 3 beschrieben verringert werden.
11. Die Punkte 8, 9 und 10 bis zur vollständigen Beseitigung der Pause wiederholen und die Dichtungen

auf eventuelle Wasserleckagen genau überprüfen.

12. Sind die vorherigen Punkte genau ausgeführt worden, so ist die Anlage für die Inbetriebnahme bereit.
3 10 13. Während des Gebrauchs der Anlage sollte der Vordruck des Ausdehnungsgefäßes regelmäßig
überprüft und gegebenenfalls rückgestellt werden.

MONTAGE VON EXPANSIONSGEFÄßE
1. Den Druck der Anlage am Montagepunkt des Gefäßes ermitteln und den Vordruck so regulieren, daß
er mit dem ermittelten Wert übereinstimmt.
2. Den Plastikverschluss des Vordruckventils wieder festschrauben und sicherstellen, daß er gut
angezogen ist.
3. Das Gefäß vor dem Kaltwasserauslaß zwischen dem Sperrventil und dem Boiler (oder dem
Heizkessel) montieren. Um eine optimale Leistung zu erhalten, muß das Gefäß senkrecht montiert
werden (siehe Abbildung).
4. Wasser aus der Anlage ablassen, bis alle Luftsäcke beseitigt sind, dann die Anlage bis zur Erreichung
der Betriebstemperatur einschalten (siehe Anweisungen des Boiler- oder Heizkesselherstellers).
5. Einen Warmwasserhahn etwas öffnen und warten, bis das Wasser die vorbestimmte Temperatur
erreicht hat. Nun den Hahn wieder schließen. Das Gefäß ist somit betriebsbereit.
6. Der maximale Arbeitsdruck darf höchstens 10% unter dem Ansprechdruck des Sicherheitsventils
liegen.
WARTUNGSHINWEIS
Die Verbindung mit allen elektrischen Ausrüstungen bevor irgendwelche Unterhaltsarbeiten unterbrechen
und bei dem Druck und der Temperatur der Anlage sehr aufmerksam sein. Einmal pro Jahr sollten alle
Komponenten Ihrer Heizungsanlage von einem konzessionierten Unternehmen auf ordnungsgemäße
Funktion überprüft werden.
