Precautions with regard to safety
WARNING
■ Do not use this product near anyone with an implanted cardiac pacemaker.
Radio waves may interfere with the operation of the pacemaker.
■ Do not use this product in an aircraft.
Doing so may cause the instruments of the aircraft to operate incorrectly. Disconnect this product
from your computer before boarding an aircraft.
■ Do not use this product near an automatic door, fire alarm, or other automatic control
device.
Radio waves from this product may interfere with the automatic control device, causing an ac-
cident due to incorrect operation.
■ Do not use this product in a hospital or other location where there is medical electronic
equipment.
Radio waves from this product may interfere with the medical electronic equipment, causing an
accident due to incorrect operation.
■ Do not pour liquid on this product or allow it to get wet.
Doing so may cause a fire, electric shock, or malfunction.
■ Do not place this product within reach of small children.
The accidental swallowing of the protective cap may have an adverse effect on the body.
• In the event that you think it may have been swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
CAUTION
Failing to observe the following may result in a malfunction.
• Do not insert this product in other than a USB port.
• Do not drop this product or subject it to an impact or excessive force.
• Attach the protective cap when not using or when carrying this product, and do not directly touch the connector part.

• Do not use this product in wet, damp, or dusty locations.

When using this product, security breaches of the types described below are conceivable.
• Leakage of your private information via this product
• Illegal operation of this product by a malicious third-party
• Harm to or cessation of operation of this product by a malicious third-party
Be sure to implement suffi cient security measures on the computer you are using.
• Set login passwords, and limit the users that are permitted login access.
Usage
For details on how to use this product, refer to the Quick Guide* (stored in this product's internal memory as PDF data)
or to the Operation Manual* (available for download from the Panasonic web site at http://panasonic.net/avc/projector/).
* The Quick Guide is available only in English and Japanese, while the Operation Manual is available only in English.
■ Log in before using this product.
Be sure to use this product while logged into your computer.
Furthermore, if your operating system is Windows
privileges.
Also, this product cannot be used while your computer is in a locked state.
■ Insert this product into a USB port of your computer.
Cautions on use
• This product is equipped with a hole for attaching a strap but it is provided under the assumption that the strap will
be hung on, for example, a hook on the wall of a conference room. Do not use it to hang this product from a strap
around your neck or another part of your body.
• This product may not be able to be connected to a customer's computer depending on the environment. In such a
case, prepare a USB 2.0 compatible extension cable.
• Reprinting the content of this manual, in part or in whole, without permission is prohibited.
• The content of this manual is subject to change without notice.
• Panasonic cannot be held liable for claims for damages or loss of earnings resulting from the use of this product.
• This product can only be used in the country or region of purchase.
• For inquiries regarding this product, contact the support center for your projector.
This product uses radio waves in the 2.4 GHz band when connected to a computer. A radio station
license is not required, but be sure to read and fully understand the following items before use.
■ Do not use near other wireless equipment.
The following equipment may use radio waves in the same band as this product. When this
product is used near these devices, radio wave interference may make communication impossible,
or the communication speed may become slower.
• Microwave ovens, etc.
• Industrial, scientifi c, medical, and other equipment
• In-plant radio stations for identifying moving objects such as those used in factory manufacturing lines
• Designated low-power radio stations
■ If at all possible, avoid the use of cellular phones, TV sets or radios near this product.
Cellular phones, TV sets, radios and similar devices use different radio bands from this product,
so there is no effect on wireless LAN communication or the transmission and reception of these
devices. However, radio waves from this product may produce audio or video noise.
■ If at all possible, avoid using this product in locations prone to static electricity.
If this product is used in a location prone to static electricity, such as on a carpet, the wireless
LAN connection may be lost. If this happens, eliminate the source of static electricity or noise and
reconnect to the projector.
■ Others
• Wireless LAN communication is possible through walls and fl oors made from materials such as wood and glass
(except glass containing wire mesh), but not through walls and fl oors made from steel reinforcements, metal,
concrete, etc.
• The channels (frequency range) that can be used differ depending on the country or region. Refer to the table below.
