1.1. Introduction
This manual describes TRITEC photovoltaic inverters. In a solar energy system the inverter is the
unit which converts the direct current from the solar cells to alternating current suitable for the
grid. These products are among the most technologically advanced and efficient inverters on the
market and are designed to supply the owner with reliable solar energy for many years. This
manual is for use by the owner and user of the inverter and provides information on functionality
and maintenance.

1.2. Operation Mode Definition
System Test and Connecting mode
After performing system tests, which check all internal systems work, the inverter goes to con-
necting mode where it monitors whether grid connection is possible.
On - Grid mode
The inverter is connected to the grid and supplies power to the grid. The inverter is only discon-
nected from the grid if it detects abnormal grid conditions or when PV power is not available. It
then goes into Connecting or OFF mode.
Off
When no PV power is available, the inverter disengages and shuts down. This is the normal night
mode.
Fail Safe
Red LED flashing
The inverter shuts down completely in the event of failures. This mode means a permanent
disconnection, look to the section on troubleshooting.
CE marking - This certifies the conformity of the equipment with the regula-
tions which apply in accordance with the directives 2006/95/EC and 2004/108/
EC.
