• Remote control: slide off the cover of the battery compartment as in the figure to the right. Put 8 1.5V AA batteries
in the compartment ; respect the polarity. For better performance, alkaline batteries are
recommended. Do not mix battery types. Reposition the cover and close properly.
• Do not charge a battery pack in wet or hot circumstances or when the battery pack
itself is hot. Always charge batteries in a well-ventilated area.
• Do not dispose of batteries or a battery pack in fire or water.
• Do not try to charge non-rechargeable batteries and do not overcharge batteries.
• Do not short-circuit battery terminals.
• Avoid mixing new batteries with batteries that have already been used.

5. Operation

• Put the plastic tube over the boat antenna wire and insert the tube into the stand in the boat body (fig.2 #2).
• Extend the remote control antenna fully.
• Switch the remote control and the boat on (fig.1 #3 + fig.2 #4).
• If you make the boat go forward without touching the steering control (fig.1 #5) and the boat veers to the right or
the left by itself, adjust the Steering Trim (ST-TRIM - fig.1 #7) until the boat moves straight forward.
• Pull the trigger (fig.1 #9) towards the grip to make the boat go forward. Pull the trigger all the way against the grip
to accelerate to TURBO speed (the green LED on the transmitter (fig.1 #8) lights up). Release the trigger slightly
until the green LED extinguishes to return to normal speed. Release the trigger completely to stop the boat.
• Turn the steering wheel (fig.1 #5) to the left or the right to make the boat turn proportionally.
• When finished, switch the remote control and the boat off (fig.1 #3 + fig.2 #4).
CAUTION
• Do not touch the propellers or drive the boat into or onto anything during operation.
• Do not touch the motor or battery packs immediately after operation as they will be hot.
• Drive the boat back to the shore and stop using it immediately when it slows down suddenly.
6. Frequency Crystals
The TRCB5 comes with 4 sets of frequency crystals. One set consists of 2 crystals with the same colour. The crystal
labelled 'T' is for the transmitter (remote control) ; the one labelled R is for the receiver (boat):
colour
brown
green
red
yellow
Change the crystals when you experience interference while racing with other boats on a nearby or identical
frequency. To change the crystals, follow these steps:
1. Switch the remote control and the boat off (fig.1 #3 + fig.2 #4).
2. Remove the boat's cover and rotate the frequency crystal latch (fig.2 #3).
3. Unplug the original crystals from the remote control and the boat (fig.1 #6 + fig.2 #3).
4. Plug a new crystal, labelled T, into the remote control and plug the R-crystal with the same colour into the boat.
5. Put the boat frequency crystal latch back and put the cover back on.
IMPORTANT!!
• Make sure the crystals in the remote control and the boat have the same colour.
• Always replace both crystals. Replacing only one crystal will disable TRCB5 operation.
• Make sure the devices are switched off when replacing the crystals to avoid damage to the crystals.
• Do not moisten the crystals to avoid damage.
