Installation of the AKO-52043 Device
The drivers are included in the device, and therefore automatically boot when they are inserted the first time in any
of the computer's ports.
Follow the steps listed below to correctly install the product:
1. Connect the AKO-52043 in any free USB port.
2. Your operating system will detect the device and will automatically start to install the drivers.
3. The modem installation program will start up automatically when the drivers have been installed and
recognised. If this step has not been completed, follow the installation process by step 4. On the contrary,
go to step 5.
4. Go to My Computer, right click on "HSPDA USB Modem" CD-ROM and select "Automatically Play".
5. Click the Next button to start the installation. When it has finished, click the Finish button.
Wait for the installation process to finish totally, and once finished, the system will tell you that it has been
correctly installed and is ready to use.
Reboot the system for AKOnet to detect the AKO-52043 device.
Configuration of AKO-52043 in AKOnet
You have to access as administrator to carry out the configuration.
Enter in Administration / General Configuration / General Parameters and click the SMS Configuration tab.
Activate the Sending Messages by SMS tab and fill in the configuration fields as indicated in the following image.
SIM supplier message service centre: You have to enter the number of the message server centre of the
contracted supplier company.
SIM PIN number: We enter the SIM card PIN when necessary. If the PIN is disabled, leave the field empty.
Check that in Administration / Mobility Configuration the SMS sending option is activated in the foreseen users.
Also check that in Administration / Users and Groups, the users mobile telephone numbers are correctly
entered on their tab.
