THE BOLD READINGS ARE THE
MOST IMPORTANT
All cells (Mono or Self-Cleaning)
should be inspected once
a month for scale build-up,
especially with borehole or hard
water. If build-up exists, clean cell
as described in this manual
NB: The pH should be kept
between 7.2 & 7.6 for concrete
and 7 & 7.4 for vinyl pools
(fibreglass pools).
It should be measured every two
weeks. If the pH is above or below
this reading, the pool can get
murky or green, even if the Salt
Chlorinator functioning correctly.
Please ensure only hydrochloric
acid and not dry acid or sulphuric acid is used.
Most commercially available pool test kits can be used to check water chemistry in salt
water pools.
Please Note:
Although your Poolmaid Salt Chlorinator should take care of your pool's chlorine
requirements, regarding water sanitation, it is vitally important to maintain balanced water
chemistry, similar to the use of dry chlorine.
The chlorinator cannot function properly if the water chemistry is incorrect.
