Care and maintenance
This MAX watch contains state-of-the-art electronic components.
The following advise is recommended for carefree use of the watch:
• contact with chemicals (oil, perfume, alcohol, hairspray etc.) can discolour the case and metal/
leather strap.
• do not place watch directly in sunlight or extremely warm/cold places. Quartz watches are less
sensitive to extreme temperature and temperature differences than mechanical watches. If watch
is not worn in the winter then it can show a slight slowness in the time. This is immediatly recti
fied when the watch is worn.
• Avoid damp. Never use the buttons when the watch is immersed in water. The watch needs to be
controlled if condensation appears behind the glass. Water can lead to corrosion of the electrical
parts in the case.
• You need to protect your watch against extreem transpiration. Skin irritations can occuur if left on.
• Avoid extreem knocks or bangs. Your watch is designed to function under normal use.
• Strong electrical fields or static can damage the mechanism of your watch. The watch is generally
not affected by household appliances such as televisions and hi-fi installations.
By strong magnetic fields the watch can work slower or even stop. It seems worse than it is.
As soon as the magnetic field is gone then the watch will work correctly again. You just have to
adjust the time again.
• Store the watch in the correct place. If your watch is stored where it is colder than -10 or warmer
than +60 degrees celsius, then the electrical parts can stop working.
