The LCD controller can be installed directly (on both sides) on the
FWL-V units using the controller kit provided, which contains:
Remote air temperature sensor (cable length 1.5 m)

LCD frame (to replace the fl ap with)
■
Support for installation on the indoor unit
■
Frame
■
Sensor holder trap and clamp
■
NB: before to install the controller remove the transparent coating
on the display with care; the removal can produce the presence
of dark spots on the display that will disappear after a few
seconds.

NSTALLATION ON THE SUPPORT AND FAN COIL UNIT
Remove the four screws concealed by the fl ap and take off the

fan coil unit cabinet. (Fig. 1)
Open the controller after removing the screw of the cover; pass

the cables through the rear slot and wire them to the connectors
as indicated in the diagram. Plug in the connectors and close
the controller again (Fig. 2).
Remove the precut plastic tabs from one of the two windows so

as to match up with the slot on the rear of the controller which
will be used for the electrical wiring of the support (Fig. 3) (one
or the other window of the support depending on whether the
controller will be mounted on the left or right side of the fan coil

Pass the cables through the slot in the support and fasten the

support and controller together using the two screws provided.
(Fig. 4 Controller support fastening shows how the controller and
support should be assembled if the controller is installed on the
right side of the fan coil unit: if the controller is installed on the
left side of the fan coil unit, the support will have to be turned
by 180°).
Make the electrical connections according to the diagrams

provided in controller manual (remove valve and heater cables
where these devices are not present).
Once the electrical connections have been made, before com-

pleting installation of the controller it is recommended to carry
out the self-diagnosis procedure to check whether all outputs are
functioning correctly (fan at the different speeds and valves where
present): refer to the relevant section in controller manual.
Fit the controller-support assembly to the fan coil unit using the

bayonet couplings (Fig. 5)
Warning: position the air temperature sensor (black) and water

sensor (white) following the directions provided, for water sensor,
in temperature sensor kit manual
Set the cabinet back on top of the fan coil unit, securing it with

the four screws. Then fi t the covering frame in place as shown

EMPERATUE SENSOR INSTALLATION
The temperature sensor is included in the installation kit and is ne-
cessary only for the installation of the controller on the unit.

ARNING
To prevent disturbance and consequent malfunctions,
make sure that the sensor cables are NOT situated in
proximity to power lines (230V).
In case of prolongations use shielded cable only; the
shielding should be connected to the ground on the lcd
control side only.
