CLEANING
When cleaning the appliance, you should
pay attention to the following:
• Remove the plug from the mains
socket, and allow the appliance to
cool down completely before cleaning
it.
• Unless clearly specified in the clean-
ing instructions below, please note
that none of the parts of this appli-
ance are dishwasher safe.
• Never submerge the appliance's pot,
cord or plug in water, and no water
must be allowed to enter the appli-
ance.
• Clean the pot by wiping it with a damp
cloth. A little washing-up liquid can be
added if the pot is heavily soiled.
• Empty the filter of coffee grounds.
Rinse the filter lid, filter and pipe un-
der running water and dry them thor-
oughly. These parts can be placed in
the top basket of the dish-washer.

• Check that the seal at the bottom
of the pipe can move freely and, if
necessary, brush it with a washing-up
brush to release it if it is stuck.
• Do not use scouring pads, steel
wool or any form of strong solvents
or abrasive cleaning agents to clean
the parts, as they may damage their
external surfaces.
• Ensure that the appliance is com-
pletely clean and dry before storing
it. The lid must be removed from the
appliance when it is in storage.
DESCALING
The calcium content of ordinary tap water
means limescale may be deposited pot
and funnel.
If the pot, filter and pipe become disco-
loured due to limescale, run a solution
of 1 part vinegar and 3 parts cold water
through the appliance. Then run clean
water through the appliance.
