Start-up operation

1. Place the appliance on a flat and
stable surface, do not place the appli-
ance on a surface that is not heat-resis-
tant.
2. Put the deep-frying grill in the
deep-frying basket. Use the deep-frying
basket along with the deep-frying grill to
avoid the burning of food.
3. Connect the power supply connector
now under consideration of the safety
instructions to a well accessible electrical
socket.
4. Place the food to be prepared in the
deep-frying basket on the deep-frying
grill.
5. Push the deep-frying basket again in
the appliance.
6. Adjust the right temperature by turning
the temperature controller. Please note
our recommendations further in this
chapter.
7. Decide now the time for cooking
process. Rotate the knob of the timer to
the intended time. If it is concerned with
cold food, the cooking process should
be 3 minutes longer. The appliance starts
immediately after adjusting the cooking
process on heating up.
8. During the operation, the control lamp
switches continuously on and off. This
shows that the heating components shall
be continuously switched on and off to
maintain the adjusted temperature. The
glowing signalizes reaching the intended
temperature.
9. Oil, which drips from the food during
the preparation, shall be collected on
the floor of the deep-frying basket.
10. According to the type of the food, it
must be tossed or shifted midway during
the cooking period to ensure a uniform

browning and temperature distribution.
Please note our recommendations further
in this chapter.
11. In order to transfer the food to be
cooked, pull out the deep-frying basket
from the appliance. The appliance
switches off immediately by default. The
timer, however, continues. Be extremely
cautious while turning or tossing the food
to be cooked. If necessary, keep the
deep-frying basket on a heat-resistant
surface.
CAUTION!
Risk of injury!
Accidental dropping of the deep-frying
basket can lead to injury due to burning.
• Toss the food to be cooked with
caution and do not use any accessories,
which could damage the coating of the
deep-frying basket while transferring the
food, for example kitchen aids made out
of metal!
• Touch the deep-frying basket only
using the handle provided for it. During
operation, the deep-frying basket
becomes very hot, do not grab it. Use
oven gloves.
• Do not touch the inner side of the
appliance, the deep-frying basket or the
hot plate.
• There is a risk of burning due to the
outgoing steam. Do not keep your head
directly on the appliance and do not
hold it in this steam.
12. Insert the deep-frying basket again in
the appliance. The appliance switches
on again immediately by default. If
necessary, adjust the timer again.
