• This appliance is designed to be used for domestic and similar
purposes such as:
– corner kitchens reserved for staff in shops, offices and other
professional environments;
– farms;
– use by guests in hotels, motels and other residential
environments;
– bed and breakfast type accommodation�
• This appliance is not designed for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, mental or sensory abilities,
or people with no prior experience or knowledge of this
appliance, unless they have been given prior supervision and
instruction concerning this appliance by a person responsible

for their safety� It is advisable that you supervise children to
ensure they do not play with the appliance�
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
abilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved�
Children must not play with the appliance� Cleaning and

maintenance by the user must not be carried out by children
unless they are over 8 years of age and are supervised�
• Keep the appliance and its cable out of reach of children under
8 years of age�
• If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, their after-sales service or a similarly qualified
person to avoid any hazards�
• Ensure that the appliance is disconnected from the mains
before cleaning�
• Do not leave the appliance on unattended�
• The appliance must not be immersed in water�
• Bread can burn� Consequently, do not use the toaster in close
proximity to or underneath combustible materials such as
curtains�
• The temperature of adjacent surfaces may be high when the
appliance is on�
• The appliance is not designed to be used in conjunction with
a separate timer or with a control system used at a distance�
• Only plug your appliance into an earthed socket, or into an
extension with integrated earthing� Check that the voltage
indicated on the appliance rating plate corresponds to that of
your mains electricity�
• Do not use the toaster when you have wet hands or bare feet�
• Remove the plug immediately if you notice any abnormality
when the appliance is on�
