golight enclosures offer both / " phone jacks and Speakon® jacks to provide
flexibility in making your speaker connections. Use the Speakon® jacks when-
ever possible to take advantage of their superior power transfer efficiency and
secure locking connectors. All jacks are wired in parallel.
A. TWEETER ATTENUATOR CONTROL Use this knob to adjust the volume
level of the high-frequency tweeter from completely OFF ("∞" = infinite
attenuation), to maximum output (" " = zero attenuation). The
recommended starting position is - dB, as shown, then adjustment as
desired. NOTE: Any amplifier clipping (distortion) that occurs will always
be accentuated by the tweeter. Turn down the master volume on your
amplifier to reduce clipping.
An internal (passive) crossover divides the signal, sending frequencies
above kHz to the tweeter and frequencies below kHz to the drivers.
FUSE: The tweeter is protected from accidental overload by a fuse on the
back of the input assembly. If the tweeter stops operating, remove the
four screws that attach the input assembly to the rear of the enclosure.
Carefully take it out, then use a small screwdriver to pry the ampere fast
blow fuse from the spring clip fuse holder. Replace the fuse with one of
the same size and type, then re-install the input assembly.
B. / " PHONE INPUT Connect to your amplifier's speaker output (or the
output of another speaker enclosure) .
C. / " PHONE OUTPUT Connect to another speaker when linking multiple
enclosures together.
D. SPEAKON INPUT Connect to your amplifier's speaker output (or the
output of another speaker enclosure).
E. SPEAKON OUTPUT Connect to another speaker when linking multiple
enclosures together.
