APPLICATION
Cutting of various m etallic m aterials such as pipes, round
bars, shaped steel and siding board.

PRIOR TO OPERATION

1. Pow er source
Ensure that the pow er source to be utilized
conform s to the pow er requirem ents specified on
the product nam eplate.
2. Pow er sw itch
Ensure that the pow er sw itch is in the OFF position.
If the plug is connected to a receptacle w hile the
pow er sw itch is in the ON position, the pow er tool
w ill start operating im m ediately, w hich could cause
a serious accident.
3. Extension cord
When the w ork area is rem oved from the pow er
source, use an extension cord of sufficient thickness
and rated capacity. The extension cord should be
kept as short as practicable.
4. Install the m achine on a level flat place, and keep
it in a stable condition. Prior to shipping, the
equipm ent is subjected to a rigid factory inspection
to prevent electric shocks during operation.
5. Since m ovable portions are secured by tension of
a chain w hile in transit, rem ove the chain from
the chain hook by slightly depressing the sw itch
handle.
6. Ascertain that all cut-off w heels are in perfect
condition, and do not display scars and cracks.
7. Although they have been fully clam ped at the
factory prior to delivery, reclam p the clam ping
nuts securely for safety.
8. Possible accidents such as a cracked cut-off w heel
is prevented by this protective cover (w heel cover).

prior to delivery, securely reclam p the m ounting
screw s for safety.
9. When replacing the cut-off w heel, ensure that the
r ep l acem en t cu t t i n g w h eel h as a d esi g n ed
circum ferential speed in excess of 4800 m /m in.
10. Ensure that the bar spanner used for tightening
or rem oving the cut-off w heel is not attached to
the m achine.
11. Check that the w ork piece is properly supported.
Ensure that the m aterial is securely fastened w ith
the vise. If it is not, a serious accident could be
caused if the m aterial com es loose or the cut-off
w heel breaks during operation.
12. Ensure that the abrasive w heel is correctly fitted
and tightened before use and run the m achine at
no-load for 30 seconds in safe position, stop
im m ediately if there is a considerable vibration or
if other defects are detected. If this condition
occurs, check the m achine to determ ine the cause.
13. Rotate the cut-off w heel to inspect any facial
deflection. A heavy deflection w ill cause the cut-
off w heel to shift.
14. Ensure that ventilation openings are kept clear
w hen w orking in dusty conditions. If it should
becom e necessary to clear dust, first disconnect
the m achine from the m ains supply.
CUTTING PROCEDURES
CAUTION
It is dangerous to rem ove or install the w orkpiece w hile
the cut-off w heel turning.
1. Operating the sw itch
The sw itch is sw itched on by m anually pulling the
trigger and cut off by releasing the trigger to the
original location. The sw itch w ill not operate unless
the stopper has been pushed in.
2. Cutting
(1) Rotate the cut-off w heel, gently press dow n the
handle, and bring the cut-off w heel close to the
cutting m aterial.
