Installation

1. Place the SD-card into the Datalogger.
2. Connect the Datalogger with the aid of the
supplied (UTP-)cable to your controller.
As the Datalogger is fed by the controller, it will
switch on and off at the same time as your
controller.

First use

Before you start logging for the fi rst time, you
need to set the time fi rst. This only needs to be
done once; the logger has a built-in backup
battery to keep the internal clock running even
when the logger is powered off . The DL-1 cannot
start logging if the time is not yet set.
To set the time, press the Push & Turn Button
(PTB) once (or twice if the backlight was off ) to
enter the menu. Turn the PTB until you see the
"Set time/date" menu entry, and push the button.
To increase the highlighted value, turn the PTB
clockwise. To decrease the value, turn the PTB
counter-clockwise.
To store the value and jump to the next value,
push the PTB.
If you do not turn or push the PTB for more than
three seconds, the Datalogger will return to the
main menu without storing the new time and date.
The new time and date will only be stored if you
adjust all the values until the message "Time set"
is displayed.
Operating and adjusting the
Datalogger DL-1
All settings are done with the Push & Turn Button
(PTB). The backlight of the display will turn off
automatically after 60 seconds of no activity.
Push the PTB to turn on the backlight again. If you
push the PTB to switch on the lighting, you will not
enter the menu yet.
When switching on the TechGrow Datalogger the
following will appear on the display sequentially:

This is the setup menu of the Datalogger DL-1.
By pushing the PTB you will enter the setup
menu.
To start or stop logging
Push the PTB to enter the menu. The following
will appear on the display:
Start/stop log
Logger stopped
Push the PTB again to change the setting:
Logger stopped
Start logger?
Push the PTB again to start logging:
Logger started
File:LOG0001.txt
The DL-1 is now collecting all information that it
receives from the sensors connected to the
controller. All the information will be saved on the
SD-card. Push the PTB again or wait several
seconds to return to the setup menu.
