tection equipment (PPE) EN352-2:2002, and an in-house-method for audio input
of the earplug (adopted from EN352-6:2002 and prEN352-9 Res 89).

Always make sure that the volume on the com radio, intercom system or other
connected equipment is set to a low level before inserting the plugs into your ears.
Adjust the volume to a comfortable level afterwards.
The product must be adjusted and maintained in accordance with the instructions
in this manual.
• Use the plugs 100% of the time you spend in noisy environments for full protec-
tion.
• Certain chemical substances may damage this product. Contact the manufac-
turer for more information.
Note: If these recommendations are not followed, attenuation and other functions
may be impaired.

The attenuation values and noise levels of these plugs have been tested and
approved according to EN 352-2:2002 and EN352-6:2002. Certificate issued by
FIOH (registration no. 0403), Topeliusgatan 41 a A, FI-00250 Helsingfors, Finland.

C:3 Incoming signal/period of use
Maximum permitted audio signal in relation to usage time. To prevent harmful
levels, the input signal should not exceed the specified values (average speech
volume). The average long-term input signal for music and speech is measured to
the equivalent of no more than 82 dB(A) noise level as specified in the directive on
personal protection equipment (PPE).
