8. Adding water & nutrients
Keep an eye on the water level in the water bowl (18) by lifting up the Watering Unit (17) from the bowl. During the harvesting phase water needs to
be added more frequently.
When required, mix together 1 spoonful of nutrients with 1 litre of water – and fill the water bowl up to the water limit line taking care not to exceed
the line. Nutrients and water are always added together.
Pay attention to the sound of the pump, if the pump is louder than normal the water level is too low. If the pump stops working, you will need to
change the battery inside the pump (see part 1) – or if that doesn't help clean the Watering Unit (17) by hand.
9. Holiday Pause
You can use the Holiday Pause feature to make your plants use less water and grow slower. NOTE: you should not use Holiday Pause
when in the germination phase.
Turn both switches (15a, 15b) on the Light Unit (14) and Watering Unit (17) to the
limit line taking care not to exceed it (see part 8). When returning from holiday, return the device to normal operation by turning both
switches back to the current growth phase.
10. Removing deposits and descaling
Tap water may form calcium deposits within the device. To descale your Plantui 3 Smart Garden, add 1 litre of warm water (max 55 °C)
with 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of citric acid to the Water Bowl (18) – and turn the switch on the Watering Unit (17) to phase
Leave the device running for 1-2 days and then wash the Water Bowl (18) and Plant Tray (16) in a dishwasher (max 55 °C). Wash the
Watering Unit (17) by hand. Citric acid can be purchased online at www.plantui.com
11. Washing the parts
After the plants have been fully harvested wash the Water Bowl (18) and the Plant Tray (16) in a dishwasher (max 55 °C). Clean the
Watering Unit (17) by hand. NOTE: DO NOT wash electrical parts (14, 17) in a dishwasher.
