If you operate the base sounder without automatic detectors or
a strobe, you must bridge contacts b1 and b2.
Installation
See Figure 1, Page 4.
The base sounder is installed directly on the wall or ceiling, using the
mounting plate for flush-mounted cabling or a mounting base for surface-
mounted cabling.
1. Fit the mounting plate (1) or mounting base (5) on a level, dry surface
via the pre-punched borings (3) using two screws.
2. For flush-mounted cabling: Feed the cable through the trapezoid
opening (4) on the mounting plate and base sounder.
For surface-mounted cabling: Break out the pre-punched borings (6) on
the mounting base and feed the cable through.
3. Wire up the base sounder using the terminal block and connect the
battery. Push the loose battery cable plug into the specified bushing (7)
as far as it will go.
4. Click the base sounder (2) onto the two snap-fit hooks on the mounting
plate or mounting base.
