CCEPTOR
The CCA-1 is an electronic comparable coin acceptor
which is easily programmable to accept any type of coin
or token. Simply place a sample coin or token in the
appropriate slot of the acceptor and the coin/token will
serve as a reference for all other coins/tokens inserted.

YMBOLS USED IN THE MANUAL
Portions of the text which are of particular importance in
regards to the safety or proper use of the product are
indicated by the following symbols:
Risk of danger or injury to persons if instructions
or the necessary precautions are not followed.
Important information on product use.

P
LACING THE SAMPLE COIN
The CCA-1 verifies the coins for comparison; in order to
function it needs a sample coin/token that is the same
type as the coins one wants the device to accept.
Disconnect the device´s power supply before
placing the sample coin/token for comparison.
Lift up the support structure as indicated in Fig 1, remove
the existing coin/token and insert the sample coin/token
that one wants to be accepted.
After
having
inserted
comparison, supply power to the device and check that
the coin acceptor functions properly by repeatedly
inserting the coins/tokens that are meant to be accepted
or rejected.
If valid coins/tokens are at times rejected, check the
correct
placement
of
comparison, making sure it is centrally placed in its slot
and that it stands in an upright position, as shown in Fig
2.
In the absence of power supply voltage the coins
introduced will be rejected.

If a token is used, we advise choosing one that is
suitable for comparable coin acceptors, that is with
appropriate alloys and/or bimetallic. If a common
grooved token is used as a sample token for
comparison, a differently grooved token may be
recognized as valid if it has the same size and the
same alloy.
4.
R
EGULATING THE DIAMETER OF THE COIN
The CCA-1 is furnished with a lock (Fig 3) to prohibit the
insertion of coins/tokens with diameters greater than that
of the sample coin/token.
It is important to regulate this lock so that the coin
acceptor does not become jammed.
Use the sample coin/token to help you place the lock at
the desired height and then lock it in place by tightening
the appropriate screws.
5.
R
EGULATING THE SENSITIVITY
Modify the sensitivity only if necessary and by
making only slight variations.
The sensitivity of the comparable coin acceptor can be
increased in case incorrect coins are accepted; likewise,
it can be decreased if valid coins are rejected. Rotate the
VR trimmer (Fig 4) in a clockwise direction to decrease
sensitivity, and counter clockwise to increase it, until the
desired sensitivity is obtained. Make a trial test by using
different types of coins in order to check the programmed
sensitivity.
Sometimes there can be notable differences
among coins of the same type, since the metallic
alloy can be different according to the mint. For
this reason, if you note that too many coins are
being rejected, we suggest trying to replace the
sample coin/token resting in the slot with one of
the rejected coins.

O
THER REGULATIONS
The comparable coin acceptor also possesses DIP-
Switches which, should always be positioned as shown in
Fig 4.
