PARTS
The package contains the following parts:
• The housing with a metal rack
• Two separately packed fluorescent tubes with anti-shattering foil
• Bracket
• power cable
• An adhesive plate
• User manual
THE BEST LOCATION FOR THE UNIT
• Not in the direct vicinity of windows and doors, be-
cause of draughts and daylight.
• Where food is processed or displayed.
• Close to the spot where flies enter the area, but
away from draughts and out of the wind.
• A location where the unit can operate 24 hours a day.
ASSEMBLY
• First fit the bracket using screws and, dependent
on the surface, plugs if required. The holes in the
plate serve as the template.
• Ensure that an earthed power point is present in
the direct vicinity of the device or use an approved
EN
earthed extension lead with the correct power
rating.
• Remove the bottom tray by pulling out the knob,
this allows the tray to be slid from the device.
• Open the grill by pushing it upward and releasing
the catches at the top.
• Remove each fluorescent tube from its packaging
(please note, do not remove the anti-shattering
foil!), slot it into place and turn it through 90° (a
quarter of a turn) until a click is heard.

• Only for inside use, the device is not suitable for
use outdoors (it is not waterproof).
• Above eye height and high enough so that people
cannot bump into it.
• Away from flammable objects such as curtains,
etc.
• The adhesive plate is covered by protective foil.
Carefully remove this foil and slide the plate into
place from below (with the glue layer in front), un-
til it is held in position by the two metal clips at the
top.
• Replace the grill and pull slightly downwards.
Check whether both catches are in place.
• Replace the bottom tray and lock it.
• Plug the power cable into the socket on the device
and plug the other end into an earthed power
point. The red power light burns.
• If the device fails to operate, check if the fluores-
cent tubes are correctly fitted.
• You can now slide the insect killer over the bracket.
