5. Introduction
The Universal Thermostat can be used universally
in almost all areas where temperature regulation
in heating or cooling is required. It switches
connected devices (such as fans, fan heaters,
terrariums) on or off, depending on the measured
temperature. The switch-on and switch-off
temperatures can be easily set via digital
display. The choice of switch-on and switch-off
temperatures allows an air conditioning unit or a
heating unit to be controlled in different ways. The
set temperatures are stored, even if the device is
unplugged or the mains power cuts out (14-day
backup memory).
6. Getting Started
• Place the temperature sensor in the location where
the temperature is to be measured. If necessary,
fasten the sensor to the location with a cable tie.
Note
The temperature sensor is not suitable for use
in liquids over long periods.
• Plug the Universal Thermostat into a standard
wall socket. Now connect the device (heating or
cooling appliance) to the Universal Thermostat.
• After connection, the Universal Thermostat
performs a short self-test and is then in
automatic mode.
